Small Group Counseling

Small Group Counseling is provided for students expressing difficulties dealing with relationships, personal concerns, or normal developmental tasks.  Small group counseling assists students in identifying problem areas, causes, alternatives and possible consequences so that appropriate action is practiced during the group and as a follow-up.  Interventions may take the form of short-term groups or crisis intervention groups that deal with such topics such as:
  • Friendship & Social Skills
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Emotional-Regulation
  • Self-Regulation
  • Divorce
  • Coping with Grief & Loss
  • Substance Abuse
  • Study Skills
If you believe your child would benefit from working with a school counselor in a small group, please contact the school counselor at your child's school.
